Last Lexus LFA Rolls Out Of Production With The 500 Badge
Originally slated for a run of 500, the final Lexus LFA has completed production in the LFA workshop, and will be on it’s way soon to it’s new owner, proudly wearing the LFA 500 badge.
The LFA marked a major shift in direction for Lexus, but the end of production does not mean the end of innovation. 2013 has shown many brilliant updates to the Lexus model line, and you can expect them to keep coming. Take quick look at concepts like the LF-LC and the LF-CC, and anyone can see that the future of innovation in Lexus cars is going to continue at an exciting pace.
According to Lexus, “Future Lexus vehicles will reflect the technological skills gained during the development and production of the LFA—in particular manufacturing know-how for carbon fiber reinforced plastic parts—as well as a philosophy of car design for delivering exhilarating and stimulating driving performance.”

The pre-owned department at Park Place Lexus Grapevine is offering for sale a rare Lexus LFA. The vehicle is in exquisite condition as it was only driven a total of 300 miles. Only 150 Lexus LFA supercars were originally produced for the U.S. market, so exclusivity is guaranteed.

Lexus Unveils Luxurious Sleek Hybrid Concept At Detroit Auto Show
Lexus today unveiled a new design concept for a hybrid 2+2 sport coupe at the North American International Auto Show. Showcasing the future design direction for Lexus and emphasis on a driver-focused vehicle, the LF-LC concept will be at the Lexus display through January 22.
“We are in the middle of the biggest change in Lexus history – inspired by a new generation of distinctive design,” said Karl Schlicht, General Manager, Lexus Product and Marketing Planning Division “The new GS embodies this with its sculpted spindle grille as our symbol of change. And now, the next chapter of Lexus evolves with the coupe design concept unveiled at Detroit. With its striking looks, this concept hybrid 2+2 hints at the design cues that are coming in a wave of new Lexus models over the next 24 months”
Challenged by the Lexus Center in Japan to come up with a design for a future hybrid sport coupe concept, the company’s Calty design studio in Newport Beach, Calif. sought to advance the redefinition of Lexus with emotive, avant-garde beauty and advanced technology, yet remain within reach for premium buyers.

Design At It’s Best – The Lexus LF-LC Concept
Lexus has, since it’s inception in 1989, been known for luxury, safety and quality. More currently, with the luxurious super car – the Lexus LFA, and now the Lexus LF-LC concept – we can most definitely add super sporty, ‘super car’ and serious performance to this list. There have been suspicions and rumblings about something pretty special coming for Lexus with it’s hush-hush secret development of the Lexus LF-LC concept. What we’re seeing now, with the sneak peek reveal of this exquisite vehicle – is truly extraordinary. The buzz abounds with the excitement surrounding this car. And, it seems – with good reason.
We got a sneak peek from the Road and Track article posted below. The article itself focuses on the specifics of the design, and one interesting tidbit is that the car’s shape, was inspired by nature – a tree leaf, to be exact – for it’s flexibility and ‘flow’. Designers were given full reign on the designs for interior and exterior – with only a few requirements. It is said that CEO of Toyota, Akio Toyoda – asked the designers to ‘make sure the concept has “wow” factor’, including characteristics of avant-garde beauty, originality, driving joy and unequaled technology.
